His names was uttered across storms and seas, as the power to grant any wish whatsoever. Not even the Sea King had more sway then he did, it was through his hands that the power of possibility flowed through and his name was spoken reverently across the seas for fear of sparking his ire or riling up the tenuous balance the seas had with him. He was rather fond of deals though by his way of estimation they were perfectly fair however they often times erred on the side of profit. That was because most people who came to him allowed feelings to get involved.

That was their hubris and their eventual downfall.

He lived in the deepest darkest part of the ocean, where the waters were the murkiest and where visibility was hard-- he lived there in the Spires and he practiced his magic and he read his books. Occasionally a wayward soul would find their way and he would entertain them in his laboratory, he would take stock of their greatest desires and then he would provide an answer.

What they did with that answer was ever always up to them. His involvement ended then and there, he'd already enacted his bargain and it what they did with what they were given became no longer their concern. ]

In all honesty, Storm Withanee did not know exactly what he was doing out here in a fishing boat halfway between Baldur's Gate and Moonrise Isle, but here he was now and they were raging through a particularly substantial storm. This was not the worst idea that Storme had ever launched himself into and by Corelleon, it would not be his last. But he was holding onto the rigging because he had had not been on the sea in years.

His parents had owned their own ship which had gone up and down the Sword Coast, he'd grown up with the waves-- it's just been a minute and a half, more like 10 years and a half, but who was counting?

Nearly swinging off the masting, he could see something in the roiling sea. All around the fog sweltered around them, foam dancing and tossing across the waves and there was clear vibes of haunting beauty followed by the savage artistry of the sea-- and he was not one to deny it. There was the hint of silver and he pointed. "Get your nets! There's something out there--" Yeah, sure follow the directives of someone knew, but he loved treasure and likewise any spot of silver caught him hopeful and bright like the sun despite the seascape.

Nets were gathered and they were hurled toward the water, toward that glistening something. The net was cast adrift in waves, catching the up and down. He was about ready to dive in, if the net didn't quite catch.

But Storm was waiting first.
